The Magic of Meeting Up
There has been a definite theme for this week; in-person conversations.
Whilst undoubtedly in this post-Covid world, having technology to assist us in connections without leaving the house are incredibly valuable, efficient and so easy, I have been reminded this week that nothing quite beats meeting up face-to-face.
Whether it was by chance bumping into a good friend at the local independent coffee stop, or a drive across Leeds to spend time with a new friend and potential co-conspirator in an area I've never been before, these meet ups this week have inspired, invigorated and focused me hugely.
There is something very exciting about being in the same physical environment, experiencing something together, whether it's the chance sighting of a little robin hopping amongst the branches, or enjoying a good coffee on the decking overlooking Waterloo Lake, or enjoying the chance moment of being on the same piece of pavement at the same time...
For me, this week, there has been a synchronicity in what has been going on inside my head, with the conversations I've been having with others. In the exchanges, I have been gifted so many pieces of wisdom and ideas, and I truly hope I have given back similarly.
It is a timely reminder for me that us humans are sociable beings and in seeking to figure out what our purpose is on this planet, with this life, we each hold pieces of each others' jigsaw.
